"Nature Morte" is a collection of animal portraits, which memorialises 19th century taxidermy specimens.
In their artificial afterlife, these creatures have received immortality, preserved as reminders of mankind’s attempt to categorise, understand and control the natural world.
Inspired by yesterday’s treasures and Victorian portraiture, they invite the viewer to explore central themes, such as loss, identity, death and judgement.
